SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it really is alarmed regarding the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] here is to reach-out into a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The services stage produced for intervention experiences a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In sassa status this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to permit the servicing of all clients and improve use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
